This Privacy Policy explains how ParkLive collects, uses, stores,
shares, and protects personal data when you use the ParkLive mobile
application, website, and related services.
ParkLive is a community-driven parking app that helps drivers find
parking opportunities based on user-generated signals and confirmations.
By using ParkLive, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy
Policy.

1. Who We Are
For the purposes of applicable data protection law, including the
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ParkLive acts as the
controller of your personal data for the processing described in this
Privacy Policy, except where another party is expressly identified as a
separate controller.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
We may collect the following account-related information:
- Email address – for authentication and communication
- Display name – optional, for personalization

on the permissions you grant
2.2 Location Data
Your location data may be used for the following purposes:
- Showing parking signals near you
- Allowing you to create parking departure signals
- Calculating approximate distances between you and signals
- Detecting your city or general area to support core app features

but disabling permissions may limit or disable core app functionality
2.3 Usage Data
We may collect usage and operational data, such as:
- Parking signals you create
- Parking confirmations you submit
- Screen views, feature interactions, and session events
- Reward-related events, coin balance changes, and transaction logs
- Reports, moderation events, and abuse-related activity
Some usage and operational data may be linked to your account where
needed to provide the service, investigate abuse, maintain rewards,
resolve disputes, ensure platform security, or respond to support
requests.
2.4 Device and Technical Information
We may automatically collect basic technical information such as:
- Operating system and device model
- App version
- Language and region settings
- Crash logs, error logs, and performance diagnostics
- IP address or equivalent network metadata where technically required
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Where GDPR applies, we process personal data on one or more of the
following legal bases:

- Enforce our Terms of Service and community rules
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
5. Automated Processing and Profiling
We may use automated systems to help calculate signal freshness,
reputation indicators, confidence scores, anti-abuse flags, or reward
integrity checks.
These systems are intended to support service quality, moderation, and
fraud prevention. They are not intended to make decisions producing
legal effects or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
6. Publicly Visible Information
When you create or confirm a parking signal, certain information may be
visible to other users, including:
- Signal location
- Approximate creation time or freshness
- Signal status or community confirmation state
- Confidence or reliability indicator tied to platform logic
We do not intentionally display publicly:

- ❌ Your authentication credentials
- ❌ Your full location history
- ❌ Your private support communications
- ❌ Direct identifiers beyond what is necessary for the service
7. User-Generated Content Disclaimer
ParkLive relies in part on information submitted by users. Parking
signals, confirmations, and related content are user-generated and may
be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, misleading, or outdated.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of
user-generated parking information. Users remain responsible for the
information they submit, subject to applicable law.
8. Sharing of Information
8.1 Service Providers and Infrastructure
We may share information with third-party service providers only where
reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, or support ParkLive.

- Purpose: map rendering, geospatial functionality, tile delivery

8.2 Legal and Safety Disclosures

- Protect our rights, users, or the public
- Investigate fraud, abuse, spam, or security incidents
- Enforce our agreements or platform rules

8.3 Business Transfers
If ParkLive is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale,
or restructuring, relevant data may be disclosed or transferred as part
of that process, subject to applicable law.
9. What We Do Not Sell
We do not currently sell your personal data to third parties.
We do not currently share location data with advertisers for targeted advertising.
10. International Data Transfers
Your personal data may be processed in countries outside the European
Economic Area (EEA), including where our service providers or their
infrastructure operate.
Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for
such transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other
lawful transfer mechanisms.
11. Security of Your Information
11.1 Technical Measures
- Encryption in transit using HTTPS/TLS where supported
- Access controls and authentication protections
- Database restrictions such as Row Level Security where implemented
- Logging, monitoring, and abuse-detection controls
11.2 Organizational Measures

No method of transmission, storage, or security control is completely
secure. We work to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute
security.
12. Data Retention
12.1 Parking Signals
- Active parking signals typically expire automatically after a short configured TTL
- Expired signals may no longer be shown as active in the app

Limited expired signal records may be retained for analytics, abuse
prevention, support, dispute handling, backup, security, or legal
compliance
12.2 Account Data
- We generally retain account data while your account remains active

Following a valid deletion request, we will delete or de-identify
eligible personal data within a commercially reasonable period, unless
retention is required for legal obligations, security, fraud
prevention, backup integrity, dispute resolution, or legitimate
operational needs
12.3 Logs and Security Data

Security, moderation, anti-fraud, and diagnostic logs may be retained
for a limited period as reasonably necessary to protect the service
13. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of eligible data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Request portability of eligible data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority
These rights are not absolute and may be limited by applicable law. For
example, we may decline or limit a request where we cannot verify your
identity, where the request is unlawful or disproportionate, or where
retention is required for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention,
dispute resolution, or defense of legal claims.

14. Account Deletion and Data Export
You may request account deletion or an export of eligible personal data

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing
such requests.
To the extent permitted by law, we may refuse, defer, or charge a
reasonable fee for requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive,
repetitive, or technically disproportionate.
Following deletion, we may retain minimal records where required for
legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, backup integrity, audit
purposes, or defense of legal claims.
15. Abuse Prevention and Platform Integrity
We may use technical and organizational measures to detect and prevent
fraud, spam, manipulation of parking signals, abuse of rewards, fake
accounts, automated misuse, and other harmful activity.
This may include rate limiting, account review, content moderation,
temporary restrictions, reward invalidation, or account suspension,
subject to applicable law and our Terms of Service.
16. Children’s Privacy
ParkLive is not directed to children under the minimum age permitted by
applicable law to use the service without parental or guardian consent.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of
applicable law. If we become aware of such collection, we will take
reasonable steps to delete the information.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we may
update the effective date and provide notice through the app, website,
email, or other reasonable means where appropriate.
Continued use of ParkLive after the updated policy becomes effective
means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy to the extent permitted
by applicable law.

We aim to respond to valid privacy requests within a reasonable period
and, where applicable law requires, within the legally required time.
